Sushant Singh Rajput Demise: Manoj Tiwari Attends Late Actor's Prayer Meet In Patna; Demands CBI Take Charge Of His Case
Last week, on June 14, the tragic news of Sushant Singh Rajput's demise had hit the internet, leaving everyone in utter shock and disbelief. The Kai Po Che actor hung himself to death after reportedly fighting depression from the past few years. His untimely death has enraged fans, who are accusing some bigwigs of the film industry for allegedly pressurising Sushant into taking such severe step by isolating him and making him feel like an outsider. Twitter, too, is flooded with netizens demanding Sushant's death investigation to be transferred from the police to CBI. Now, actor turned politician Manoj Tiwari has made a similar appeal. The BJP MP, who attended Sushant's prayer meet in Patna, wants the Central Bureau of Investigation to take over.

A glimpse of Manoj offering prayers to Sushant's picture in his Patna residence is going viral on social media. He also met the late actor's family and offered his heartfelt condolences. Further, in an interview with India Today, Manoj demanded CBI interference and also shared his two cents on the nepotism in Bollywood. The politician said how Sushant's family, too, has a similar demand over his unexpected suicide. He added how outsiders often face difficulties in getting accepted in the film industry. "When someone from outside the industry makes a place for himself and attains success, several forces get activated to block his way," said Manoj.

He added, "Sushant lost his mother at the age of 16 but was not shaken. So what happened now which took him to this extent that he committed suicide?"

Further, Manoj said that the person, who is found guilty, should be punished by the government. "The Maharashtra government should handover the case to CBI for a fair probe," he added.
